Sam Fenders critically acclaimed album has debuted at number one in this weeks album chart.
The 25 year-old North Shields musician who welcomed this year as the BRITs Critics¹ Choice winner, quickly made his name with a series of searing, melodically-rich and observationally astute guitar-led indie-rock songs. Fender will now see out the rest of the year on the road as one of the prominent success stories of 2019 to date.
Sam: This is beyond dream territory. I thought my dreams were complete when I played Jools Holland, never mind this madness. Thanks to all the fans. This is just the start.
Hypersonic Missiles was 100% written by Sam, and recorded/produced at his own self-built warehouse studio in North Shields. It was recorded alongside long-standing friend and producer, Bramwell Bronte.
Sam Fender is a rare talent. A straight-talking musician from the northeast of England who plays every gig as though it might well be his last, armed with a huge, cavernous vocal, guitar strapped on (a Fender, obviously), and fuelled by that seemingly old-school belief that great guitar music still has the power to change lives and influence people.
Sam Fender is very pleased to celebrate his debut album hitting number 1 last week, with news of a new headline tour for next Spring.
The shows will include a night at London¹s Alexandra Palace, and feature three arena dates, ending the tour with a hometown show at Newcastle Arena on 3rd April.
Tickets will go on fan pre-sale from Wednesday 25th September, and then on general sale from Friday 27th September over at http://www.samfender.com
